Exactly one year ago today I launched this little project blog in order to show my progress as I attempted to make a 3D version of Koholint Island. Where are we now? The Island is complete, as are over half of the Dungeons, and the personal goal of simply making a 3D model of an island has evolved into an effort to fully remake the original game!
I would like to take this moment to thank those who have followed me from the beginning, suffering through multiple set backs due to data loss, and the unending struggle against the cliffs, as well as the new readers who have stumbled upon this little project over the past 12 months. Thank you everyone, without your support I'm fairly certain I would have given up after the model file became corrupted.
I would also like to laugh at those who said I would be shut down long before I finished the Island, but I won't laugh too hard, nothing wrong with being cautiously pessimistic.
As a present to you all, from /v/irgins to new comers, I am happy to present an awesome teaser trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening 3D!
A note, that awesome logo you saw in the trailer? That image was made by a reader who's name I in all honesty can't remember. He sent it to me back in March, when I completed the Island and I have since then lost the e-mail. I want to say it was Fizz but I'm not sure. You know who you are, please send me an e-mail ( lordmithos@gmail.com ) so I can properly credit you!
The main source of awesome in the above trailer was composed by Dan Vithyavuthi, was has agreed to compose most, if not all, of the tracks for the game, you can find more of his work at www.vithyavu-music.com/
Hope this has been an awesome 1 year anniversary for you and hope you enjoy year 2!

Happy Birthday!
Wish you luck and healthy for the second year. And thank you for the Teaser, looks very good.
That's awesome! I am in tears..
Congratulations for this first year of hard work!
whoa nice! you're really breathing life into this old game, looks great.
Congratulations, dude :D
Looking at this in all its pretty 3Dness makes me wodner. Will there be a possibility for changing the angle of the camera in-game so it won't just be the overhead view? Like, with the mouse or something :V would be pretty sweeet
That intro make me giddy with excitement! I would love to see a fly-through of the island.
A view from the backside of the island would be interessting, too.
You are my hero.
Wow. I apologize for not believing in your project at first. Now I'm totally looking forward to it's completion
Heheh, it wasn't me. But wow for remembering me anyway. XD I used to check for updates every day, I need to add your project to my bookmarks again...
Happy belated birthday, Mithos!
Verry Cool!
